The birth of Centering Pendants was a journey of self-discovery and purpose. In 2016, I left my day job, to teach yoga and make jewelry. I took up meditation, and asked the universe to bring more purpose and meaning to my jewelry. The Universe answered my call one autumn day when I was driving. I was pondering the reasons people skip yoga and meditation classes and considering ways to help them be more centered without a lengthy time commitment.

At that moment, I looked at my hands and I realized that the shape of the car wheel was perfect for my fingers to join in gyan mudra, a hand gesture which can bring about a feeling of calm and centeredness in just a minute of deep breathing. This was the moment the idea for Centering Pendants was born - I visualized a pendant that would allow the fingers to slide together in gyan mudra, prompting you to pause, breathe, and reCenter yourSelf.

In January of 2017, I finally mustered the courage to try my idea and created the first Centering Pendant. From that moment on, I began to feel the benefits: every time I touched my pendant, I repeated the affirmation "I am capable," which filled me with a sense of confidence, wholeness, and trust in something greater than myself. This spiritual awakening allowed me to let go of my doubts, insecurities, and control over the future, and I became determined to succeed as an artist.

I believe it is my purpose as an artist to create these pendants and make them available to people who are seeking a sense of calm and centeredness or are going through a major life change.
